NightReign is a single-player action roguelite. Move with the on-screen stick, attack with the buttons, and clear a run before dawn. There is no account, no internet connection required, and no in-app purchase.
Progress is stored only on your device. Deleting the app removes saved runs and we cannot recover them remotely, since we never receive a copy of your data.

NightReign was produced as part of a public-domain IP project. The in-game “How This Was Made” panel links to a 27-episode video series of the source novel, made with the xBookvideo pipeline. You can browse it at films.xbookvideo.com.
NightReign is built for iPhone and runs on iPad in compatibility mode. A native iPad layout is planned for a future update.
Open app.xbookvideo.com, upload a public-domain or self-owned book (EPUB or TXT), then let the pipeline write the narration, generate the visuals and render the vertical video with subtitles. Renders typically take a few minutes per chapter.
Any book you own the rights to, plus public-domain works. We ship a catalogue of over 1,500 public-domain texts from Standard Ebooks you can start with right away.
Try the file again — very large or unusually formatted books sometimes need a second pass. If it keeps failing, email us with the book title and file type and we'll look into it.
